Iron has always played a particularly important part in the evolution of the Basque Country. The Basque Iron Museum approaches its history from different points of view in order to understand the boom enjoyed by its industry in the Basque Country. As well as learning about past trades such as blacksmithing, mining or charcoal-burning, visitors can also take a look at the ancient Mirandaola ironworks, one of the most important remnants of the period in Gipuzkoa.
